I just got this today ( 6-1-11 ) and wow what a great picture. I have a Sony S550 blu ray player with HDMI plugged in to it and it is sitting on a shelf 6 feet off the ground and 13 feet from the wall with about a 125″ picture. Right now it is projecting on my wall and looks great but I am going to order a 120″ screen. The machine is quiet and heavy, really feels well made. So far (1 day) I love it and would tell my friends to get one. If I have any problems I will update this. If you are looking for a great projector without spending huge amounts ( I got mine for $1135 ) the Epson 8350 is what you are looking for. The lens shift made my set up fast and easy.

One of the best 1080p projectors in this price range!
I had a limited budget ($1500 or less), and sought to replace an older Optoma DLP projector that I gave to a friend when I moved out of the country. This Epson unit consistently came up in user reviews and expert A/V sites during my research.
I am quite happy with the stellar image brightness, and it fills my ‘media room’ with a gorgeous 125″ diagonal 16:9 image, which is perfect for our movie viewing…or Caillou for the kiddies when needed
Sure, there’s brighter units when you get to the $2000 range, and 1 or 2 around the $1500 mark (Samsung comes to mind) but it compares favorably to the DLP projectors in this mid-range class that I always thought were superior for a true movie experience.
Highly recommended!

I JUST PURCHASED TWO Epson Powerlite projectos 8350 for my friends. I envy them . below is the comment and feedback I got from them regarding the product.
For the product I give 4.5 out of 5, the only reason I don’t give it 5 out of 5 is the brightness issue. I think if it improves a little and enable 3D on the device even if through an external device it would be the best value for money.
Pros: Sharp image, high contrast, flexible image size and location, two HDMI input.
Cons: Heavy weight,big size, No built-in speakers, and no Audio out jack, short lamp life time.
